Patrice Mousseau founded Satya Organic Skincare in 2013 as a way to provide her own daughter with a non-toxic alternative to eczema creams. More than a moisturizer, and without topical steroids, Satya products are also fragrance free and 100% certified organic.


Our task was to tell this story through Satya’s brand and packaging design. Patrice’s mission to create healthy and trustworthy products set the tone for the identity, which is all about natural forms and warm colours. For the logo, we designed a stylized icon inspired by the shape of calendula petals: one of the 5 ingredients used in Satya products. To add balance, we selected a geometric, sans-serif font as the brand typeface.

The identity comes together in the packaging, where the elements are combined with simple line patterns and illustrations. Studio Lake also designed stationery, labels, posters and a Shopify website for Satya.

We have been working with Satya since it’s founding in 2013, with most recentlty a redesign of the brand materials in 2019.
